Program Notes

Electric Beauty was composed in tribute to Barb Scowcroft and the Utah Youth Orchestra. The piece is in 3 distinct sections, mostly focusing on orchestral texture. The piece maintains an energetic character, and also features a lyrical middle section. The piece is a tribute to the collaborative power of the orchestra, with less emphasis on solos and more on the cohesion of sections.
