Program Notes

This piece is a concert overture for orchestra in tribute to Beethoven, and intended to follow a larger work of his, such as the 'Eroica' symphony (as the title implies). The piece begins with several distant brass fanfares and pieces of the heroic theme (tema eroica), which is stated in several distinct sections including a triumphant rendition of it and later, one that sound more funeral-esque in nature.
